is a native of Columbus, Georgia. She is the Executive Pastor at
Higher Power Outreach Church, located in Phenix City, Alabama.
Reverend Lydia Toney was blessed with one daughter by the name
of Kelsie Faine and one grandson by the name of Ja’Mauri Holmes.
Reverend Lydia Toney is the third of five children, born to
Reverend Elizabeth Charles and the late James Toney of Columbus,
Georgia. After graduating from Kendrick High School, she
obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Miles
College in Birmingham, Alabama. During her college experiences,
she accepted the call to ministry. In preparation for ministry,
she obtained a Master of Arts/ Practical Ministry / Pastoral
Studies from Beacon University, Columbus Georgia and also
obtained a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Troy
University in Phenix City, Alabama.
Reverend Toney is truly a God-sent gift to the body of Christ,
with a commitment to her ministry, she done ministry for several
years. She done prison ministry at Muscogee County Jail and at
Jack T. Rutledge Prison Ministry through Beacon University in
Columbus, Georgia. She also is a member of the American Business
Association Coalescent Chapter in Phenix City, Alabama and a
member of the Phenix City Russell County Inter-Denominational
Ministerial Alliance in Phenix City, Alabama.
Reverend Lydia Toney has been a Special
Education Teacher since 1994. She also serves as Secretary for the Hannah and Sarah
Ministry in Columbus, Georgia. Reverend Toney is active in the
church and the community spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
