MISSION AND ORGANIZATION

House of Restoration promotes community awareness of homeless issues. House of Restoration ministers directly to individuals and families who have an immediate need for safe, secure, and short-term shelter. Residents receive shelter, meals, life skills training, drug abuse counseling, employment readiness and/or help to increase income, assistance with clothing, access to medical care, and transportation.

House of Restoration has a ten-member Board of Directors that guides the faith-based House of Restoration programs and activities through the leadership of the Executive Director Johnnie C. Robinson Jr. LMSW.

WHO WE SERVE
Many circumstances create the need for short-term assistance, including loss of job, temporary dislocation, financial hardships, family disruptions, and physical or emotional challenges. House of Restoration serves men, women, and families who find themselves without a home for whatever reason. All in need are assisted, with a special focus on serving the Chattahoochee Valley areas. A portion of House of Restoration rooms are reserved for veterans.

HOW WE SERVE
House of Restoration's daily activities are designed to promote personal dignity, foster reconciliation, develop new skills, and restore hope to “disadvantaged” individuals according to society. A sense of community and respect is the cornerstone. Each day is structured to promote learning, personal growth, and spiritual strength.

All residents work or attend life skills training classes. Also, the residents attend substance abuse counseling meetings weekly. The residents are in a secure living environment, with a structured day and lots of training to prepare them for a new beginning.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
House of Restoration has a 501-C-3 designation with funding partners including State and Federal agencies, faith communities, individuals and private foundations. Donated items help those displaced and funds are always needed in support of our daily mission. Gifts of any kind, to include time and service, furniture, and clothes are welcomed. A letter of contribution can be provided to contributors upon request.
