MISSION AND ORGANIZATION
The House of Restoration promotes community awareness of homeless issues and ministers directly to individuals and families who have an immediate need for safe, secure, short-term shelter. Residents receive housing and meals. They are assisted with clothing needs, job training, job placement, financial counseling, medical care, and other support services for adults and children.
A seven-member Board of Directors guides the faith-based House of Restoration programs and activities through the leadership of the Executive Director. Program and administrative staff coordinate the wide range of services provided to the House of Restoration residents.

WHO WE SERVE
Many circumstances create the need for short-term assistance, including loss of job, temporary dislocation, financial hardships, family disruption, and physical or emotional challenges. House of Restoration serves men, women, and families who find themselves without a home for whatever reason.
All in need are accepted, with a special focus on the geographic areas served by Phenix City, Alabama and Columbus, Georgia. A portion of the House of Restoration rooms are reserved for veterans. Special units are provided for families of residents of the House of Restoration.

HOW WE SERVE
The House of Restoration daily activities are designed to promote personal dignity, foster reconciliation, develop new skills, and restore hope to disadvantaged according to society. A sense of community and respect is the cornerstone. Each day is structured to promote learning, personal growth and spiritual strength.

All residents work or attend job training classes. Children attend appropriate schools or daycare daily. The Empowerment Plus, Work Readiness, and Job Skills programs lead to employment. The Medical Ministry Clinic and AA meetings are weekly. With a secure living environment, structured day and training, the House of Restoration provides what is needed to begin again.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
The House of Restoration has a 501-C-3 designation with funding partners including State and Federal agencies, faith communities, individuals and private foundations. Gifts of any fashion, to include time and service are welcomed. Donated items help those displaced. Funds are always needed in support of our daily mission.
